Stan is a great and very knowledgeable piano teacher. I feel like I've seen a lot of progress in a short amount of time. The lessons taught go well beyond the bare minimum to hit the notes and read the music as he patiently shares his expert technique - not just how but also why you would apply a specific technique to each piece.
My son has been taking piano lessons from Stan Watkins for roughly a year and a half and we have been very pleased with his instruction. He's always been very patient and encouraging and has a great sense of professionalism and courtesy. My son looks forward to his lessons every week and always leaves wanting to get started on the assignments Stan gives him for the week. We are glad that we found his studio and have had nothing but a great lesson experience with Stan.
My son has been taking piano for about 6 months from Mr. Watkins and loves it! He is only 7 years old and I can't believe how much he is learning and how quickly he is progressing. Mr. Watkins is very professional and so kind and patient with my son.
Stan Watkins is the best piano teacher our son has had! He is very patient, kind and knowledgeable. He has given our son a very well rounded piano education, learning not only to play, but to accurately read music, and even composition! He's a talented musician and teacher.
My daughter takes lessons from Mr.Watkins. She enjoys learning new pieces at a fast rate. She is very pleased with the progress she has made in a few months and hopes to keep going!
