Bill Hill Music has a fantastic reputation. They work with musicians of all ages, beginners, and pros. I've searched for a Violin instructor for years and finally found a great one at Bill Hill Music. Fantastic rates, great people, and a good vibe. Can't wait to report my progress in a year! The owner, Bill Hill, has played with some of the best. Bill know his stuff! The place isn't the most inviting, aesthetically speaking, but remember where Gizmo was found? Inside Bill Hill's you'll find some of the best music teachers in town.
I needed guitar strings badly! On my way back from New Braunfels to Seguin, it was 10 minutes after 7:00, and everyone was closed except this store! An older gentleman, the owner was a tremendously pleasant optimistic person by nature! Also a great jazz guitarist... They also teach just about any instrument you can name there.!!!! All of which had degrees in music, or an outstanding instructor! But with about 5 minutes left for me to shop... I had the pleasure of observing Bill give a young lady a guitar lesson... I wish I would have known him when I was learning! A very patient and encouraging teacher! Possibly one of the best guitar teachers I have met, not because of knowledge but because of attitude and the positive vibes he sends of encouragement he sends to his students! And I couldn't help but notice that the guitars were set at a fantastic price! He doesn't have everything... But I will be returning if only to chat with him! Cool guy!
Bill Hill is awesome! Just met him today and he spent over half an hour with my son and me, explaining about different musical styles and teaching methods for multiple types of instruments. Come to this store FIRST before you buy an instrument! We're signing up for lessons on guitar and bass now.
I love this place because they offered mountain dulcimer lessons. If you are interested in an instrument that's off the beaten path, you might be able to find an instructor here. Plus, the folks here are just darn nice and helpful.
