So yesterday I was looking forward to my boyfriend bringing me home a delicious surprise from this bakery. I was shocked to say the least when I broke off a piece of brownie to eat. It was hard as a rock! If I had thrown it it would've put a hole in the wall, or worse yet, it could've knocked a person unconscious it was so hard! Maybe it was a display that became petrified from sitting there so long? Unbelievable! If I didn't live in San Antonio I would've brought it back. Totally unacceptable!
My daughter has been craving specific kind of dish since we left Germany and we finally found a place that does it right! Personally I was looking for a top-notch bakery so I could spend less time in the kitchen since we really don't like store bought bread or pastries. Now we have found the most amazing bakery! It saves me so many hours in the kitchen and the flavour is perfect.
My husband and I had lunch here while in town. The service was great and the food was delicious! I had the quiche and strawberry salad-I would definitely order again. My husband had a Reuben sandwich which he really enjoyed. We also bought some pastries to take home for breakfast.
Great German bakery in our cute German town! There are so many items to choose from. Our favorites are the pretzel rolls, the cheese, bacon and jalapeno sticks, the bear claws, and the turnovers. It's a great place to grab an assortment of pastries for out of town guests.
The pastries melt in your mouth! The pastries are delicate and subtle in flavor and are not overly sweet. They are so delicious. Lunch menu is great too.
