I placed an order over the phone for a cake 1.5 weeks in advance. Hand delivered a transfer about 2days later (In a flat envelope) that I wanted placed on top of the cake. When I picked up my cake and opened it the transfer was not the cake and they handed me back my envelope, they didn’t say anything about it.nI called the lady back to the car and explained that the transfer was not put on the cake, and she said she would talk to the baker. The baker came out to the car and told me that it was written on my order as a cake topper and that they don’t place toppers on cakes because the box won’t close, so she never bothered to open my envelope. She fixed it in the end but I feel that they should have called me and said something and the “miscommunication” would have been cleared up and would not have had to wait at all.nThe cake was delicious and they fixed their mistake but there could have been better communication and if they didn’t place cake toppers on cakes the person who took my order should have said so on the phone.

I am extremely disappointed in the service. We called on Thursday to ask if we could order gluten free cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday on Sunday that we would pick up Saturday morning. We have ordered gluten free in advance many times before for church activities and family events we were trying to ensure that we didn’t buy up all the gluten free so someone else could purchase something today. According to a recent google review listed 2 weeks ago by a Wes Meyers who had a gluten free birthday cake made for his wife, special orders on gluten free products was still more than possible, and we were not asking for a special order of a cake, just cupcakes which would be on the menu no matter what. However, when we called, we were told that Covid has created a gluten free flour shortage and due to this they are not able to take gluten free orders. We explained the situation of it being for our daughter’s birthday, and if we were going to purchase the item anyways why could we not simply ensure that we would have the cupcakes she wanted which were the GF red velvet cupcakes. We were then told that she would do her best and make sure to put the gluten free red velvet in the lineup. This morning at 10 AM we arrived to discover no gluten free red velvet cupcakes, only regular wheat flour red velvet. When we asked what happened, and why there were not GF red velvet cupcakes we were told “the key word here was I would try to put them on the menu, but I can’t do it if I don’t have the ingredients”. I’m irritated, disappointed and hurt because first we were told we couldn’t pre-order because of a “gluten free flour shortage” (which I would have completely accepted if that was true, but obviously it wasn’t because the day of pick up, their reason changed to simply “not having the ingredients” not a “GF flour shortage”. Well apparently there was more than enough “gluten free flour ingredients” to make 4 different types of gluten free cupcakes- a strawberry cream, strawberry lemon, wedding cake, and chocolate vanilla flavors. All of those cupcakes share ingredients with red velvet (especially the GF flour which was the reason they told us as to why they would not let us pre-order) but apparently according to their words they “didn’t have the ingredients” SMH. I am seriously disappointed. I can look past the possibility that they didn’t want to take our order in advance in case they could not get the gluten free flour but if you tell your customer that you would make sure if you have the flour that you would put gluten free red velvet in the days rotation you should hold true to your word. I have always ranted and raved to anyone I can about the great service and quality of product that I get from Sweet Traditions, but today I see they have no problems telling a bold faced lie to a customer, claiming they didn’t have the “ingredients” instead of simply saying “I’m sorry I really did forget I should have written it down or made myself a note, please accept my apology”.

Such a disappointment. My partner has been in communication with this bakery for quite some time to set up a tasting. In order to secure the tasting you have to pay in advance. We have made multiple attempts to make this happen. We even received communication from the bakery requesting the best phone number so they could contact us that day for payment. No phone call. Instead just stating reasons about the holidays and the kitchen being under construction.nNormally I would not make a post about this. However since we are planning a wedding and we are checking vendors the fact that we can’t even get a tasting scheduled is not ok. Simply the bakery could have postponed all orders or stating they were unable to fulfill orders.nWe’ve followed this bakery on social media for quite sometime and I’m sure they’re treats are great. Unfortunately we will no longer consider this vendor for our wedding since this one task has been so challenging.

Adorable bakery, great service and delicious cupcakes!nWe showed up on a whim not realizing that you ordered curbside. We returned to the car and drove up, texted our order, received an immediate confirmation, order came out by a very nice and smiling covid-prepared employee. We paid for our order and off we went.nKids could barely wait to get out of the parking lot.nGreat experience!

Very helpful for my sons birthday cake. Cake was cute, affordable and best of all delicious!!!
