Loved this place since they opened the bakery. Been ordering on weekends some pastries for breakfast. But something has changed lately. Pastries taste different like not fresh. It is easy to tell because the dough is hard and gummy. Wanted to give it last shoot. Oh well.
They have very good breads, I bought a baguette, it was delicious. As for their pastries, they are delicious. Their cakes are awesome too. It's so nice to have a great bakery in the neighborhood. The staff are nice too. So glad they are here.
Stopped by for the first time today and got the chocolate mousse and chocolate croissants. Both were delicious.nHappy to have this new bakery in Wheaton.nnUpdate: Tried the chicken pot pie and it was also delicious. The shredded chicken is in puff pastry and is lighter than pot pies with a creamy filling. Reheated it in 350 oven and the crust was flaky and not soggy.
The food was terrific.Had a smoked ham and cheese on a baguettes and a chocolate croissant for lunch.It was so good I bought 2 more croissants( chocolate and almond) for breakfast tomorrow; a baguette for dinner and 2 small pastries for dessert night.Really good,fresh food and the staff was very pleasant.Wish I lived closer.Maybe I don't. It is all too tempting.Highly recommend it.
Very average to just plain bot appetizing. Napoleons pastry was either over baked or prepared in a way that resembled no French pastry I’ve had. Poorly executed. The Black Forest cake was “wet” not just moist and was rather flat in taste. From the reviews I had seen I had great expects but obviously the reviews were based on patrons with rather inexperienced taste. Do not recommend-which I regret since it seems there is no true boulangerie in the area.
