3 years later and still helps me out!! Called Dave this morning about a window and he reminded me (so much for my memory) he had fixed it (last year we messed it up trying to clean it and couldn't get it realigned and the wind blew it in--Dave came out the next day and put it back together--for free). I also remember 3-4 months after we moved in and a nasty wind blew off some of my shingles--I was out surveying the damage and up drives Dave to take care of everything. Lastly we had a concrete issue he worked with us for over 2 years to resolve--he never questioned us just kept working to fix it. We're thrilled with our home and grateful we met Dave so he could build it for us.

We’ve been in our Hepler home for just over a year and we couldn’t be happier! We partnered with Dave to build our forever home and he delivered on every front. After our first meeting with Dave, we knew he was the right builder for us. He understood our vision, calmed our fears, and clearly communicated expectations and deliverables. We partnered with an architect to design the house to meet our specific needs along with an appreciation of good design. The flow of the house was critical and the placement of lights, windows, electrical outlets, and plumbing fixtures etc. were the small but critical details that set this house apart. Once we explained those details to Dave and his team of sub-contractors, they were all on board and took great care in meeting our requirements. In fact they took extra care and seemed to take more pride in doing their craft. Throughout the process we development wonderful relationships with Dave and his entire team. Dave at Hepler Homes is amazing to work with. He is patient with his clients, he walks them through every stage of building process and ensures that you are on the same page. The finished home is absolutely beautiful, could not ask for a better builder to work with.

Overall, I have an excellent relationship with Hepler Homes and Dave Hepler personally. I was building while still living in Wisconsin. Dave was very helpful in the material and color selection process, which was done mostly over the phone. The reason I am rating Hepler 4 instead of 5 stars is because dealing directly with a couple of his recommended sub contractors and vendors proved to be a somewhat frustrating experience. Otherwise, I am a happy camper, and would recommend Dave for another custom or semi-custom home project.
