Novak's Hungarian Restaurant

We got the papa's choice and it was good. Good for sharing and nice flavors. Also had the chocolate box dessert, delicious. The beef goulash soup was okay. Looks like some of the staff weren't wearing masks so be wary. They also charge a credit free. Not a big deal but it not common. Hope to give them another try in the future.

This was our first time back, sitting in the restaurant, since the fire. The restaurant is beautiful. The food was so good. We knew it would be because we have used take out during quarantine. Our server was so quick and on the ball to refill drinks. We look forward to our next visit!

I have been a Novak’s customer since 1986 and I am always impressed with the food, the service and the love that is shown to us each time we visit. I miss Mama and Papa, but the girls have stepped up to the challenge of running the restaurant in their place, and they do an incredible job. I always expect Matilda and Joseph to step around the corner and say “welcome back, you look like you are hungry, let’s get you something to eat “ this place is filled with love... and chicken paprikash!

Novak's is one of Oregon's best restaurants. It's a real classic of European ethnic cuisine. The chicken paprikas are one of my favorite dishes anywhere and the salad and bread are simply the best. The Hungarian bakery is legendary. It can get crowded, so making reservations is ideal. Everyone who visits Corvallis or Albany should stop here!

My sister and I met at Novaks to celebrate our birthdays. It was a wonderful experience. We were tucked into a little area by the window. The food was delicious and service was top notch. We loved it.
