I have been working at Donohoe & Carroll for 33 years and have been proud to meet many of the great and influential people of the Bay Area as well as ordinary good citizens who have come through our doors. The Donohoe family are gracious and kind people who are proud of their business which originated in San Francisco in the year 1860. We are one of the last remaining monument shops that does handcrafted custom lettering, holy images, and corporate logos. Our artisan-ship has been appreciated by the broad spectrum of society -many of whom do not visit the internet to rate purchases related to such personal matters as their bereavement.

I contacted John at Donohoe & Carroll and inquired about having a new marker that I had purchased on line switched out with an old one. John said sure he could do it and asked for the plot and row. But he didn't call back as he said. I called the next day and the gentleman that answered said John would call me back that afternoon.nHe didn't. So I called the next day and was told that John was just joking with me about doing the job. that they would never install some one else's marker. We had to cancel the memorial service. pretty funny joke.

The guy there is kinda grumpy.nHe changes the finish dates every time I call him.nnShould have given the business to someone else.nLesson learned.
