Hard rock stone works, our heroes! For our bathroom remodel we special ordered a double vanity with top and sinks from a big box store. They came as a set but the funny thing was the sinks did not lineup to the cabinets. Being that is one of the last items to do in the bathroom we were stuck. Then hard rock came to the rescue. We went over and picked out a beautiful piece of quartz which they prepared and installed in short order. We ended up with a more beautiful piece, laid out better for our needs, and at a similar price to what we had ordered. I called over and Dave prepared a few slabs for us to view. He really knows the materials they have available and all the nuances. The young man that came over to measure and also the installation crew we're all fast, polite, and professional. Plus they adhere to Covid safety protocols in each interaction which was assuring. Overall we were super impressed. I'm posting a few photographs but I'm not sure they do it justice. All I can say is we have an absolutely beautiful double vanity top. Thank you hard rock!

So ordered granite top for the bathroom plus a sink. The process from start to finish was just awesome. Picked out the stone at the showroom, they were true to time and execution was flawless. I will do this again and plan on a kitchen redo in Fall. Great Job!

The younger installation crew was not good at all. The product itself, the counters were very nice and cut well, the initial installation crew was very good but the people that they sent afterwards were terrible. Came in to our house and proceeded to let me know that they had no idea what they were there to do. Then after several trips and a week later, they finally finished and left tar marks all over our tiled floors. We missed the re-installation of the mirrors by another company twice because of all of this. We were without mirrors for 3 weeks.

If there was an option I would give a 4.4 rating. I ultimately went with Hard Rock based on the recommendation of a friend. All of the employees are casual, friendly, and easy to work with. Pricing was competitive compared to others in the area. My seam looks phenomenal..... Overall I am fairly happy but there are some things I think could have been done better. It’s a matter of several little things vs major items. I was initially told I needed 3 seams, after some pushing I got agreement for 1 seam which required an up charge because 2 crews would be required. At installation only 1 crew showed up. I don’t mind that I had to still pay the up charge, but these guys really struggled and I hope that extra fee went into their pocket. One section of my counter appears that it was chipped on the edge during cutting and they tried to sand it out to smooth it. This edge is next to my fridge. It should have been squared off and not rounded at the bottom. It still bugs me when I look at it every morning when I make my coffee. There were several pits and short open cracks along the edge of the countertop that I expected would have been taken care of prior to installation along with a really bad yellow epoxy job in one area (potentially done by the slab supplier). Hard Rock promptly sent a guy out to address my concerns. Regarding the pits, he told me that it’s just the way the material (quartzite) is. He did apply some glue to fill in the areas. Now, I had checked on Houzz and a Facebook group and the general consensus was that while this is common with quartzite, it should have been taken care of prior to installation and there should not be any pits or cracks in the finished edges. Regarding the epoxy job he chipped it out and sanded the area. The problem is that now the top is thinner in that area because he had to sand it down to get the stone level and looks a bit wonky. He took care of a few other areas of concern (discoloration spot and a rough surface area) and did a great job on them. I also had my bathroom done and the backsplash doesn’t line up properly on one side. It looks like the piece was cut about 1/8” too short. I think they do good work, and a little more attention to detail would have gotten them a 5 star rating.
