So pretty what the new owners have done with the place. Spacious and inviting. The wheat free food is delicious and my gluten free taste buds are satisfied. Fun little afternoon date with my child. Sugar and salt yumminess and then I Love Comics right around the corner. Both open and helpful.
Just disappointing. I have been to a lot of bakeries in the area and I was actually really looking forward to my visit here. There are a lot of great reviews for their baked goods so I decided to stop by. I ended up trying a cinnamon roll, Marion berry scone, and a lemon blueberry muffin. All three of them had a plastic taste to them, as if they had been sitting in a ziplock bag for a few days. Completely disappointing! I couldn’t even finish them after taking one bite of each. The flavor was too overpowering!
Had the bread pudding a couple of years ago, freaking fantastic! Came to town again and got it, at best it's average now.
I love the waffles at Sugar & Salt! They have so many delicious treats and breakfast and lunch options. Their ciabatta bread is perfect for sandwiches.
Emailed them about a pie request on 7/23/20 and was contacted within a few hours of first reply but then after my second email sent to them; nothing. Waited until today to write a review since the person who emailed me said the order probably could be done today. Still chose to place an order of something else over the weekend with them due to it being for a birthday but was still planning to still go through with my original order if they person would have contacted me back. Needs to be more thorough when going through emails to be prompt with orders. That's why they lost a point.
