I was stuck in a weird situation where I needed my eyebrows waxed before an important event and had an appointment scheduled with one of my usual stylists at a different place weeks in advance, but last minute that appointment couldn’t work anymore and they were completely booked, so I needed somewhere last minute. I realize that due to this unexpected situation and the fact that I’m already an anxious person who has a hard time communicating with new people, my results are likely 50% or more my fault.nnI have rather thick eyebrows, but I really like their natural shape as they have a strong arch (as in, they come to a point and are not rounded on top). I had expressed that I like the natural shape of my eyebrows on top, I was just concerned about waxing the fat part of my eyebrows off the bottom, and then of course cleaning up the eyebrows to look neat. I also have a hairless scar on one of my eyebrows that I should have mentioned because really you should never assume someone will notice it or work around it, but I’m just so used to the two stylists I have been seeing my whole life working around it (I’d never had to mention it even before for my first appointment, they both just saw it and shaped around it carefully). My arches were not kept, they were rounded off. I guess I should have really emphasized that I like the pointed shape instead of just stating I liked the natural shape of the top of my eyebrows, but again I was just so used to my stylists keeping that shape without me ever explicitly stating that I liked the pointed shape (just the natural shape). My scar was also waxed through instead of around, so it looks like I’m missing a part of my eyebrow instead of having a whole eyebrow with a scar in it. They are also really thin, but to be fair I had stated that I was worried about the thick bottom part of my eyebrows which was definitely removed. Overall my eyebrows look really short and thin, have no arches, I’m missing a part of one, and it’s just nothing like how they usually look. I don’t usually have to manage them at all other than filling in my scar, but now I have to completely fill them in to reshape the arches, draw the missing part of my eyebrow, and make them look thick and full again :(nnIt’s not like they look terrible, they are nicely shaped and manageable and I’m really not trying to make it sound as if the work is bad, it’s just not what I wanted. If you took my eyebrows and gave them to someone who liked a smaller, rounded eyebrow shape then they would probably be very satisfied. I think if my arches had been kept like I had tried to ask, and then my scar was still waxed through and my eyebrows were made to appear thin and small, I wouldn’t feel nearly as sad. I could live with the things that were done because I didn’t do a good job of explaining what I wanted, but I’m really sad my natural eyebrow shape was altered when I’d stated that I liked the natural shape. Everyone was really nice and professional and I would certainly consider going back for other services, but I’ll keep my usual eyebrow stylist. I didn’t really notice the extent of the work until I had gotten home (I’d noticed the scar looked off but again, I wasn’t too upset because I hadn’t mentioned it before), so I feel bad about not mentioning my concerns in person after the appointment, but even if I had it’s not like anything can be done at this point. I will just wait for my eyebrows to grow back and spend a lot of time filling them in nicely before my event next week.

Chasity does my lashes and she is absolutely AMAZING! I would never go anywhere else. Christi did a fabulous job on my mani-pedi! I have also had Kim do my hair and she was phenomenal. The owner obviously knows how to hire staff because I have nothing but positive things to say about Glo Beauty Lounge!
