I stumbled upon the cemetery and it was highly fascinating to me seeing the dates from the 1800s however I was so utterly disappointed in the shape of the cemetery. Not that far from normal civilization yet the cemetery had tons of headstones that had fallen or maybe been vandalized and nobody there to pay proper respect. Upon a little research it looks like it was originally for African Americans back in that time I'm not sure if that holds true today but I spent a few hours dusting off and clearing away leaves and branches Etc trying to pay a little respect to those who are deceased I'd really disappointed in the shape of the cemetery. I'm hoping to go back this summer and clean up some more. I'm afraid to stand any of the stones in fear of potential family members being mad though I don't know why but I would be more than happy to try to do so if they would allow.

Mt Olive Cemetery's N of OK—109 on E 2100 Rd (a.k.a. Country Club Rd) almost 0.2 miles E of US-271 & south across the road from the Bermuda Creek Golf Course. Mid size for a rural cemetery, its pasture-like rolling hills are well mowed-n-trimmed, showing someone's respect for those resting.. Trees need an arborist's attention. No formal entrance, drive thru the grounds, or perimeter fence, but cool welded name sign at its NW corner. Headstones in vastly differing ages & condition, but most are still easy to read. Some have flowers. Beautiful Oaks throughout the grounds.
