I was so happy to support a Black owned restaurant. Disclaimer: I can only compare this place to Lee’s Kitchen & Jamaican Grille. I would give it a solid B+. The portions were generous (2lbs of food! I weighed it) & the flavor was great. I got curry chicken & my husband got brown stew chicken. The meat & sauce were on point. Not too spicy if that’s what you’re looking for, but it does have a kick. I’ve had better rice & peas if I’m being honest, but they weren’t bad at all. I think I just prefer them a bit sweeter. The veggies were also kind of mushy which was kind of disappointing for me. I like crisp veggies. Overall, this is a good spot for Jamaican food considering the location. I’m thankful for what I can get close by. You can feed two people easily from one plate. I will be back.

Fantastic Jamaican food. Try the curry chicken you won't regret it. It's cooked with carrot and potatoes. I've never tasted carrots so good! The customer service was wonderful. The lady there even gave me a card to call ahead so she could order something they didn't have. Also, I have a severe gluten allergy and I had no problem with the curry chicken, rice and peas and the plantain. My only regret is that I didn't get the bigger plate! I will definitely be back.

We tried the oxtail stew with rice & peas and steamed vegetables on the side. We also had the jerk chicken with a side of steamed vegetables. I have to say this is the most flavorful Jamaican food I have EVER had...it was so good! The herbs and spices that they use are phenomenal and it is cooked to absolute perfection!!!!!! I will absolutely be returning...frequently. Word of advice: If you are planning to visit in the evening on the weekend, you would be best served to order ahead as word has gotten out on how good the food is, so the line was long (yet they still managed to get provide walk in orders fairly quickly, but ordering ahead helps get your in and out)

Had a steamed fish today. They were informative of the type of fish etc (despite being so busy). Before sealing it up they showed me the fish to make sure all looked well. Then they wrapper it in plastic wrap so the juices wouldn't get everywhere.nnI did have to wait 15 min (made fresh/to order) for the fish to be steamed (comes with the head btw)nIt was well worth the wait! So good
