Sales people won't take no for an answer!
Two sales people came to our door and told us there had been "incidents" reported in the area and they were offering to cover the cost of something if we would allow them to put a sign in our yard. They wouldn't explain what they were offering without coming into our home. We refused and asked if they could explain on the porch, the sales person would -not- explain what they were offering, despite the fact that he said it was "very simple to understand". Had to ask them three times to leave. Fairly certain this is a scam.
After we finally decided to be rude and just shut the door in their face, I researched these "incidents" and couldn't find anything in the past several years.
Liars. Charlatans. I feel bad for these kids who take these jobs and are forced to be horrible to strangers. As a career salesperson I am furious with this company for training their sales people this way. If your product isn't strong enough for customers to buy it on its merit, and your sales people have to lie and scare people into purchasing it, then your business deserves to die.
