I don't shop too often at Detwiler's. The prices are generally a little better but produce and fish can be a little off at times. It's a good place for people who are looking to trim a couple dollars off the grocery bill. I just recommend being a little careful to smell the fish and examine the produce before buying it. It's really not as bad as you might think. I suspect that that Detwiler's bids for food at the grocery wholesalers just like many other companies. The highest bidders typically get the better quality. The beef is usually priced very competitively and I don't recall having any problems with it.

Love, love, love this place! There is just so many good products here!!nPlenty of fresh produce, meat, and seafood, with a superb blend of local products as well. Emphasis on seasonal items, so selections rotate frequently.nBakery has killer goods; some of our favorites are the Jalapeno cheese bread, the Bavarian pretzels, and of course the Cinnamon buns!nMeat counter is fantastic as well. Excellent prices on gorgeous cuts. Best Ribeyes in the area, hands down.nFinally, shout out to the always friendly and helpful staff. Don't be afraid to ask for help, recommendations,or recipes!

An exciting shopping adventure for those who love old-time markets. Meat counter is a delightful experience with good prices. Huge produce section. You must try all of their deli sandwiches - all of them! The ice cream service bar is a real treat. You will go back, again and again!
