We have been taste testing many local cake shops for a flavorful, moist layered sponge cake. Sadly, after tasting these 5 flavors we decided to pass on the cake here. ud83cudf82nnOut of all the flavors we had tried, Salted caramel, birthday cake, apple pie, chocolate, and lemon the apple pie was probably the best. That is because it actually had filling in the middle. The other cupcakes were rather dry and not as moist as other places. The salted caramel and the chocolate were rather on the top sweet side...if that makes sense. Cupcakes are supposed to be sweet but the cream on top was far too sweet, but that is all personal preference. ud83cudf6dnnAs for the dryness I felt that they were not as spongy as they could have been. I’ve heard so many great things about this cake shop, but also have heard others say they only come for 1 specific flavor cupcake as well because of the dryness in the other ones.nnOverall, some of the flavors were on point. The apple pie cupcake was by far the most balanced flavor wise and was the most moist.

I ordered a cake for my baby shower. The design was nice but the cake was terrible. I asked for a chocolate and vanilla cake with chocolate mousse. The cakes were uneven- vanilla cake was huge and chocolate cake super short with a little bit of chocolate mousse somewhere in between the cakes. The cakes were super dry and I wasted $150 . Thank god I had to cancel my dinner and didn’t serve that cake to my guests. Next time I am definitely going into a different bakery.

Cakes by Ron made an amazing cake for my son's first birthday. I sent them a few inspiration photos and they created something that was ten times better. It tasted good too. They also have great customer service with prompt and professional email response. Which is more than I can say for some competitors. Highly recommend.

Ordered a birthday cake for our daughter and the Cake was absolutely beautiful but the flavor was NOT good. I love cake and I couldn’t eat an entire slice. Everyone that attended the party was in agreement. Maybe an ingredient was left out or something but it wasn’t good.
