Smooth Moves

The 3 Stars is for the first move experience I had with Smooth Moves. NOT the second time around. The first time the two men sent were excellent. They worked efficiently, they were incredibly friendly and professional and were careful and respectful. So. Great! Decided to use SM again and asked for the same guys but one had quit by this time (10 months later) and the other one wasn't available due to medical. The two they sent, nothing like the first two. Where as the first two hustled the second two cost me more money with less stuff because I'd sold furniture so I had less. Yet my bill was much higher, mainly because they moved very slowly, often times carrying only one item at a time and they were in general slow. They were also careless bumping into door frames and dropping 'many' boxes. Running into the walls. In the end of it all I was asked to sign a wavier stating that we walked through to make sure there wasn't any damage done to the property, but we had not done so. When the first two guys unloaded they stacked everything up very nicely and in such a way there was plenty of room to move about, whereas these two made a such a mess there's no room even to walk around or through even though the room where I asked them to stack the boxes is larger they literally took up the entire space because they didn't want to bother taking the time to stack. Also they had zero personality. Especially the one 'in charge' I guess. As I look at this mess it just irritates me all over again thinking about those two, very little pride in their job and certainly little concern in the customers satisfaction. Dropping my boxes and not even apologizing or trying NOT to do it again because they kept doing it over and over. I realize their job is hard on the body. Which is why I tipped generously. That tip did not represent a 'job well done', it represented my compassion for hard labor work which I appreciate as a once hard labor worker myself. In a years time I will be moving again. Will I choose SM a third time? I am not so sure.

What a great group I had for my experience with these movers. It was actually a brothers team and I thought they were great eager to be as quick as possible while protecting all my assets. Even the stuff that wasn’t of value. It was definitely a smooth move!

Mike & Josiah we’re right on time, very friendly, & super professional! Put my couch in within 10-15 minutes - gently & with no damage. Smooth Moves is definitely the most prompt & considerate movers I’ve had. Thanks again, guys! Grateful to have a new business to go-to whenever I need help moving. :)

So i had a couple hiccups nothing major...but the only thing that bothered me here was that after everything was unloaded we plugged in our tv and it was broken... it isnt that expensive of a tv. And they dont cover it... other than that everything went ok.i helped the guy unload the truck. Because the helper didnt show up. And that still didnt want to cover a 200$ tv.
