Opens at 10 though google and their phone system say 9. Passports can only be renewed by mail. Wish I knew that before making the trek.

Renewing my passport in this Consulate is turning into a nightmare. This is the worst experience I´ve ever had in a Brazilian public organism (in Brazil or abroad). I´ve started the process more than three months ago and I thought it would be simple and easy since I can upload all documents online and send everything by mail. I had some doubts and reached out by email before doing anything and the responses I had for my questions were patronizing, unespecific and did not solve anything at all, and on top of that took too long. I´ve reached out the Consulate in Madrid at the same time and got my information from them instead. That's ridiculous! Ever since, it's been a never ending nightmare of uploading documents, only to have to re-upload them again two or three weeks later because, who know why? or because rules changed while I waited for the response, or the lastly, because the form expired after I´ve uploaded them, during the three weeks I had to wait for an answer. This is unacceptable and denigrating. The worst part of this is that the only thing I can do about it is to write this review and hope I will have my new passport by Christmas of this year!

I don't even know where to start but the worse part is the lack of communication and customer services. A simple passport process is a nightmare. But what I am confused is why different embassies have different processes. For example, in Houston the process is very simple and easy to follow. Miami, is a nightmare. You have to wait for e-consular to review the process after you have already completed everything that is required. They don't answer the phones for passport questions only way is email but they don't respond to the emails. So literally I am waiting for weeks without any information. And they say if you send the documents without the e-consular review they send back the passport without renewing.

Absolutely the worst consulate you will ever go to. Terrible service, terrible work, LAZY staff. The security guard tried to help us out but the consulate did not want to do their job. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. If you need a Visa or other documents call the Atlanta Consulate.

6 months trying to get my passport renewed. their service is a shame, THEY SHOULD BE SUED!nThey make the process very difficult to almost impossible.nEvery time you apply online they take months until they review it, then the application is expired so they deny it and you have to do it over again.nYou cannot do it in person, only online without any help or assistance.nIt is IMPOSSIBLE to get your passporte renewed. It is a SHAME!!nAny other passport of any other country people can get it renwed very easy, should not be impossible to renew. It is something VERY SIMPLE to do.nBy the way, THEY MAKE YOU PAY FOR before it is even approved.nSo your money is gone and you still don’t have the service done.
