Good place to shop could be cheap you just have to look for deals otherwise I'd shop elsewhere... people are nice but sometimes my daughter and I get judgmental stares... overall its a great place to support!
The store is small, but has a nice variety of foods as well as a Boar's Head. Sushi supposedly coming soon. Only thing lacking is quality fresh veggies -- most are pretty ripe, but thats the reality of winter in AK, I suppose.
The ladies and gentlemen at the Eielson Commissary are a wonderful bunch. Always made us feel at home. Excellent meat market and they keep their shelves well stocked. And on top of all that they hosted several holiday events that were really fun
Boars Head meats/products was a game changing add to the store! Sushi Chef is also very much appreciated!
Has necessities at good prices (except milk). Produce isn't stellar. Employees friendly and helpful.
