Flamingo Trucking

I drove for flamingo Trucking threw 2 harvest cycles . Working for the family owned and operated business was a very good experience for me. The family and the office workers treated me with respect always. They always paid on time and was very fair. A lot of effort was put into the well being of the drivers. The trucks were well maintained and safety was a priority of the maintenance team. I was thankful in more than one occasion that the breaks were well maintained as driving constantly See's hazards that requires a steady hand and well maintained equipment . I recommend any drivers looking for a good job to consider working with Flamingo most all the drivers are considerate and make a good team. You should be aware of the current driver supervisor on the driving team has times of aggressive driving and beligerant behavior unbecoming of a good driving team.getting threw this all in all I truly enjoyed driving for Flamingo Trucking ..

We too had a very similar experience with a Flamingo Trucking driver this morning! ABSOLUTELY RECKLESS, DANGEROUS, AGGRESSIVE ANGRY DRIVER! He was tailgating so badly that for much of the 5 miles that we had to contend with this, only the Volvo logo of the truck on the grill was visible in our rear window! Too close to even see the license plate! He weaved into the oncoming lane, as if to pass us, but didn't, then drifted to the right shoulder for some inexplicable reason. Meanwhile, ahead of us were 3 vehicles, including 2 large white pickup trucks hauling long open trailers (looked like someone was moving). It was obvious we could not go anywhere (especially from the vantage point of a semi driver). We kept a safe distance from the car ahead of us and he clearly did not like the fact that we (and the people in front of us) were driving the speed limit (55 mph). Five miles down the road with this maniac on our tail, the two trucks with trailers had to turn left at the same intersection where we were turning right. The two trucks ahead turned leaving an open lane. But as we slowed in our turn lane, the Flamingo driver slowed to match our speed, at which point we slowed even more expecting the truck to pass us and go on his way. But he did not. We actually slowed to a stop, and this absolutely crazy driver STOPPED in the middle of the road directly adjacent to us, blocking the traffic behind him! As we proceeded to complete our turn, the cars behind this DANGEROUS driver had to pass him on the right, using the right hand turn lane, because the truck was just stopped in the middle of the road! Little did he know that we had a dash cam and a tablet recording the whole thing, including getting his license plate number and the DOT/registration numbers on the side of the cab. We were not aware at the time that this was happening that we COULD have called 911 so we didn't call anyone until we got to work. We won't make that mistake again. Based on the description of the behavior, I strongly suspect we encountered the same driver as that encountered by the previous reviewer. We have notified Flamingo Trucking of this incident, as well as the dept of transportation and, fwiw, the area's and state police authorities.

Truck this morning was very impatient a car and myself were trying to get into the lane and he would move up so me and the other driver wouldn’t have space to get in the lane. He blocked the intersection and cars had to wait until he moved to be able to turn. This place has bad reviews and all stating that the drivers suck! I got the guys license plate as well just in case.

I had a bad experience with a driver. His truck number was 558. This guy was driving wreckless ! Speeding then slamming on his break leaving a cloud of smoke. Then made an illegal turn left from the right lane cutting me off. He could have caused an accident and serious injury to someone. I plan to call and report him.

They Don’t stop at stop signs, everyone watch out!
