I have rented trucks from penske many times in the past with no problem however this time someone dropped the ball. Even after reserving a small van earlier in the week to be picked up at a Lock It Up storage facility and giving them my cc number the van was not there at the time I needed it to be. The manager of Lock It Up called them for me and a different van was supposed to be dropped off within a half hour, I returned an hour later and still no van. He called them again and obviously my reservation was lost! Gave me the keys to another van at their site intended for another person and I eventually was able to finish my moving task. 2 hours later my credit card was charged the full amount without contacting me about this problem or to at least tell me some sort of discount would be applied. I had to call penske to explain this to them and I was told a small discount would be given for all of the trouble. In the future I will not give out my cc information until the paperwork is properly signed and the vehicle is there when its supposed to be.
I rented a 14' truck on June 14th. The truck was brand new with 185 miles on it. It drove well and was clean. Robin behind the counter could not have been more helpful and delightful to work with. I intend to rent from then again soon.nGreat job!!!!
