These are the best donuts I've had since leaving NY! Very fresh and they had that perfect softness and crisp. Great filling to donut ratio. Large selection and a very friendly woman to take my order. Fair price too, money well spent!
Got my husbands birthday cake here today. He loves carrot cake & has had many different ones through the years, so he's something of a carrot cake connisour. He thought this was the best one he's ever had! The decorations were perfect & the icing...oh my! Thank you to everyone for the AMAZING cake! For a sign proclaiming “Black Hills Best Donut”, I was hoping for a good experience. The day before I visited, the Facebook page of this business was advertising their next day donut specials. The strawberry rhubarb fritter & the birthday cake donut holes. Upon my arrival, I was informed that the birthday cake donut holes weren’t ready yet. I was able to get the strawberry rhubarb fritter, along with a Long John & a cake donut. Since I couldn’t go inside the store, I inquired about the description of a particular donut, which I wasn’t familiar with. The worker had no clue what the donut consisted of. The strawberry rhubarb fritter had zero strawberry rhubarb flavor. There was a red swirl i the fritter, but that was it. Out of the 3 donuts that were purchased, 2 went into the trash.
