I walked here once, in the winter, from Silver Lake. I got a little lost on the way, and actually downloaded a compass app on my phone, to try to recover the position. I think it helped. It even took me quite a long time to find my way back to the lake, via a different route that I had wrongly assumed would be quicker and easier.nnI felt an urge to return today, but it's not really easy walking through the preserve with the much denser early summer vegetation, and I was a bit tired, so I looked to Google to navigate my way there by car. (I also picked up a tick last time , so that probably factored into my decision.)nnI am not sure what words to use to describe how I felt to find no reviews on Google. I'm still processing it now, but there was certainly a touch of surprise that was quickly followed by a flash of embarrassment and recognition of my naivete.nnI visited. I drank a beer, in congregation with spirits unknown and unreal. I felt and I thought. Then it was decided that I should do what I can to give Stoney Hill Cemetery the Google review it deserves. I suspect there are many such places.nnI'm working on it.
