The staff was nice . The group obviously spent a lot of money on the office . The Doctor seemed like a Doctor spent about 5 minutes talking he seemed to be confident in a diagnosis, I’m only giving them two stars because they asked me to complete this before my prescription was finished. The staff hasn’t called me back yet to see if the medication is working so I don’t think they care about that and I don’t think they care if I’m getting better or they would do a follow up call, at least that’s what I would do if I were involved in someone else’s “healthcare”.

I was very impressed with Lakeshore Derm as they got me in the same day and were able to perform the procedure during that visit. Very clean and modern office and excellent staff. Being from out of state, I greatly appreciated their efforts and care!

Very rude and short with me. Just wanted me in and out the door. Didn’t seem to care about me or my problems at all and didn’t even ask questions to get to know my situation. He looked at my skin for 2 seconds when the mask came off, and didn’t ask questions about how it has been or anything. It was so quick and I would never go back there. Even when he listed options for me to choose he just said “here are some things you could try.” And didn’t give his professional opinion on which I should choose. I went there to get professional advice, not choose my own treatment with little to no knowledge about each treatment. Worst experience I’ve had with a dermatologist/doctor ever. Save your money and time and find a clinic with doctors who actually care.nnEDITING TO REPLY TO THE OWNER: (since I can’t reply another way)nI have NO PROBLEM with taking safety measures to ensure the protection of me and the staff from COVID-19 such as briefly taking off a mask etc.nnHOWEVER.. that is the least of my concerns. What was most disappointing was your lack of kindness and caring. You literally didn’t ask me questions about my situation, did not seem to give two F’s and were very rude to me with your responses when I had questions. You have me no actual value or professional advice. You simply said here’s some things you could try and here’s the side affects. I had to bring up 2 week old pictures of my skin because it happened to not be in the middle of a flare up when I went in and I wanted you to realize how bad it got. And you seemed annoyed that I had any questions at all and annoyed that I was taking up your time to look for a recent picture. You can obviously sense when someone is rushing you as fast as possible. Your clinic is one where clients are rushed through like just another number. And that’s exactly what comes across. But trust me when I say that your precautions due to COVID-19 had nothing to due with my one star review. In your response you still never addressed how little you cared and how you didn’t ask me ONE question about my skin. You literally just looked at it and said here’s what you could do. It is also very demeaning stating things like “we have found most of our patients do not resent these measures and actually appreciate our efforts to limit potential exposure and strategies to keep everyone safe.” In an attempt to de-validate my bad review and feelings. And that attitude of yours is exactly what came through during the appointment. An “I’m better than you, and you’re just a number to me.” If you want to grow your business and have nothing but happy customers, start actually caring about them and ask them questions and don’t rush them as fast as you possibly can. Just some helpful advice to improve that you so desperately need.

I was a new patient to Dr. Van Ittersum. I am 23 years old and struggling with acne. The staff (front desk, techs, nurses, etc) were very polite, welcoming, and following all COVID protocols, however, I was pretty disappointed in the care I received from Dr. Van Ittersum. It seemed as if he was rushing to get out of the exam room and did not answer my questions fully, as I was extremely confused and upset about my acne.nnI’m looking forward to seeing a different provider at this location because it was a really nice facility with awesome stuff, just really disappointed with Dr. Van Ittersum.
