First time going to the lumber section of Lowe's in Monroe Michigan, we really needed assistance & had some questions, as we entered there was an employee named Ken (found out later that he was the manager of that section) who just stared at us, like a deer in the headlights, as we told him that we really needed some help, he said absolutely nothing, I thought that perhaps he was mute or had his tongue surgically removed, he just stared in discust, like how dare you bother me, my wife considered him a possible lobotomy patient. Paul, a fantastic employee, from the lumber section, came right over (as we were about to leave & try Home Depot for the service & products that we needed), Paul immediately said that he would help us, mind you, Ken was right there, still giving us both the evil eye & continued in his mute & lobotomized state. Paul took us to the exact spot that we needed (showing that he knew where everything was, no second guessing), answered all of our questions and cut to size the lumber that we needed. If not for Paul being on the lumber side, just at that moment, we would have not only have gone elsewhere but I would most certainly be giving Lowe's a one star (though no stars would have been more honest, in our situation).nPaul sent over John (after knowing how poorly Ken treated us both), a Lowe's manager from the other side, John listened to both the positive & negative comments about Paul & Ken, I told him that I would be posting a review of both employees & their actions, he said that he would do something about it, I hope that John was being honest as he said that & that he took us both seriously & acted upon on comments appropriately. This was disgraceful for a store manager (Ken) to react in such a fashion, I've never, ever, had a manager give such a blank look to me, perhaps he was on drugs, it was that same glaring, far off, disconnected with the world kind of look, I hope to never come across an incompetent, imbacilic, manager like that again. Thank You Paul!!!

I was at the Monroe, MI store on Friday, April 9th to pick up several bags of top soil. The set up for loading the vehicles was great and the employees doing the loading were wonderful. They kept things moving and were so friendly while we waited our turn. Great job Lowes!

The guy who loaded up my mulch was so helpful today. I thought they mulch was already out and it wasn't but he went in back and brought it out. And even loaded it. Always receive this service at monroe Lowes. Very nice workers.
