I know the other reviews for this place were 5 stars, but I also see that they're both from awhile ago. I just moved to Albion a couple of weeks ago and was ecstatic to see a bakery within walking distance of my home. But when I went inside I was unfortunately unimpressed with them. There were maybe 3 goodies in the case and two choices for bread. And I think the only bagels available were plain. And they have no other drinks than regular coffee. I feel like the coffee shop up the street has a better selection, and frankly better quality. And it wasn't like I went in before closing. This was around 11 am or so. I hoping it'll be different if I give it a second chance but I really don't feel that the quality or selection warrants 5 stars.

The food, service, and atmosphere here are amazing for this small town. In response to the 2 star rating about fewer available baked good choices, that comes from serving a small community. They don’t have the capacity to make stuff that’s not going to get sold. Welcome to small town America, where the early bird catches the delicious baked goods.

Great sandwiches! In particular, I’m a huge fan of the Strake. I was iffy reading its ingredients list, but I’m so glad I gave it a try as it’s my favorite. If I lived closer it’d be a very frequent stop.

Just tried the Foundry for the first time - very impressed! The atmosphere is cool. The food was delicious. All the staff members were courteous; greeting you as you walked in and wishing you a good day as you left. They were even nice to each other amidst the lunch rush. I'm definitely heading back again and again!

I love the Salami and sub bun. The cookies are great and the brownies are better. I’d recommend having peanut butter and chocolate chunk cookies every day. The soups could also have more meat and less vegetables. This is the best place for lunch and breakfast in Albion.
