Akiko taught my 3 boys piano for almost 10 years. She is very patient and kind, and quite knowledgeable about music theory and performance. She is an excellent player, by the way.nI believe my kids love playing music, because of her. She taught them an appreciation for music performance, and they were extremely motivated by her. I would recommend Akiko highly as a piano teacher.
Our family had an excellent experience with Akiko for piano lessons. My son and daughter started at ages 6 & 7 and Akiko was able to give them a proper music education yet also keep them entertained which can be a challenge at this age. My kids never wanted to miss a lesson and WANTED to practice! As their skills developed, Akiko made sure their lessons kept them challenged. Her students range in age from young kids to adults. Check out her credentials, she can take you to whatever proficiency you are looking for, from casual learner to serious performer. My kids are now college age and are no longer in the area but they still enjoy sitting at the piano, thanks to Akiko Kasai!
My daughter took piano lessons with Ms. Akiko for almost 7 years. She is a phenomenal instructor, and it's clear that she cares a lot about her students! She is an expert at determining each of her students' skills and applying proper lesson plans so that they can improve at their individual level. Not only does she teach piano, but she also teaches her students useful musical theory! My daughter benefited a ton from this when she joined the school band; it was super easy for her to sight read and understand the music. If you want to learn the piano/basic musical knowledge, then Ms. Akiko is the teacher for you!
I’ve been taking piano lessons with Ms. Akiko for about 8 years, and she has been an excellent teacher! She has taught me proper techniques since I started, which helped me develop new skills at a faster rate. I feel that she respects my interests, and teaches so that I can enjoy playing the piano. When I joined orchestra in middle school, I was able to learn how to play the violin easily, because I already learned note-reading/rhythm skills, ear-training, and theory from Ms. Akiko. So if you are planning on playing any musical instrument, piano will definitely help you! I highly recommend her! ud83dude03
Our daughters both had piano lesson with Ms.Akiko over 5 years. Ms.Akiko was very professional in her approach and they both continued to improve their skills every year and enjoyed going to piano lessons with her. We saw their progress at the recitals which were also a great way for the kids to build confidence. (Twice a year organized by Ms. Akiko)nnWe moved out of state last year but would recommend Ms Akiko to others looking for a Piano teacher.
