Matthew worked really well with our 7-year-old daughter this past summer. He is a very positive and patient instructor. We really appreciated the time he devoted to teaching the foundations of music and working with our daughter at her level. The lessons really helped her keep up with her practice during the summer months while she transitioned into a new violin size and shoulder rest.nnOur daughter still talks about how much fun she had taking lessons from Matthew.
Matt is incredible at teaching and communicating with his students. I really enjoyed my time with him, and appreciate his dedication to his profession and craft. It was a very friendly, but still productive atmosphere.
Matt is an amazing violin teacher. He truly knows how to connect with his students. Even when my daughter is working on something difficult, Matt has helped her to find strategies to improve while still loving playing. My daughter's continued dedication to the violin is partly due to Matt's enthusiasm and teaching style that uses my daughter's strengths to improve her playing.
Matthew was kind enough to give us a free trial lesson. We got a very good sense of his skill and expertise both at playing and teaching, which seems quite advanced and like an excellent option. He engaged my 13 yr old son with a pace necessary for teens, and seemed very open to approaching learning and progressing in whatever way best suits us. He made us both very comfortable and was warm and easy to talk to.
Matt is a wonderful teacher, very patient, very talented, and he also has a great sense of humor. My son and I both enjoy our lessons with him.
