Everything they make is delicious! A great range of primarily European baked goods at reasonable prices. They often carry baked goods for different holidays. Covid restrictions are followed with a spaced out line and limit on customers in the store at a time.nEmployees are friendly and knowledgeable.
I was told that I had to have paczki while in Chicago, but when I looked at the prices for these things they seemed vastly overpriced for, what was to me, a jelly donut. So I was about to give up, but found Bennison's, and their prices seemed far more reasonable than any place in Chicago proper. So I sprung for a few. I had to brave the President's Day snowstorm to get them. Was it worth it? Yes and no. The strawberry whipped cream version was unique, but every other flavor was - a filled donut. Not sure what all the fuss is about. They were good, but it's one-and-done for me.
I love this bakery, the poppy seed donuts are great. Have gotten several kids birthday cakes here over the years they are always amazing.nQuick service friendly staff.
Donuts and pastries galore! Right textures, right tastes, and impeccably balanced. Nothing more than technical precision in making traditional fares. I mean, if you like that sort of thing.
I live in this area. Great community bakery. Excellent pastries, homemade bread and great sandwiches. I stop in often for a coffee and donut. Excellent prices. Cakes can a bit on expensive side. Love the macaroons and homemade cheddar biscuits. Consistent service to the community
