As I was coming to work this morning I was behind one of your drivers. I first saw him as I was at the stop light and he was turning to go eastbound on 29 from 281 northbound. I met back up with him as we were leaving the city limits of Burnet and I noticed him driving erratically and could not seem to keep his tractor and trailer in his lane. After several times of witnessing him swerve in and out of the right hand lane going eastbound towards Bertram. I flashed my bright lights at him thinking that maybe he was distracted by the use of his phone. I saw the driver swerve several more times and was driving at least 70mph. I phoned Burnet county dispatch and stayed on the line with them explaining what was happening as I saw it. While in the town of Bertram I saw another tractor trailer pass him and I saw your driver veer into the other trucks lane and almost side swiping the van of the other tractor trailer. Burnet county kept me on the line until we crossed into Williamson County. Right before entering Liberty Hill I witnessed the driver drive onto the shoulder of the highway over correcting and almost losing control and turning over. I voiced this to dispatch and they assured me that a patrol car was waiting for us in LH to make contact. The officer pulled over your driver just beyond Texas Materials on 29 just before the 29/183 junction and asked me to pull in behind them so he could speak to me as well. After making contact with your driver the officer came and spoke to me and I explain to him everything I witness from clear back in Burnet. The officer said he could not smell the odor alcohol or any other substance. He then explained to me he was going to have a through discussion with your driver to make sure he did not miss anything. He then released me.nnThis truck was white with blue lettering of your company with a white trailer with a dark blue stripe down the trailer.nnI just wanted to make you aware just in case nothing came of the officers investigation this morning in LH. I assure you that your driver was driving in an unsafe manner endangering not only his life but the lives of others on the road.nnMy husband is also a End-Dump driver and probably one of the safest ones in Central Texas, I know what a taxing job it can be on both the driver and the drivers families as well.
