About 20 mins before my sons 1st bday party, I came in to pick up his cake and smash cake. They got the order completely wrong. I ordered the monster cake(chocolate) and matching smash cake(white).
When I got there the monster cake was only an 8inch round chocolate cake, frosted plain white.
The smash cake was decorated perfectly but was chocolate.
If they messed up so bad, why is this a 5 star review? Well.... 3 associates jumped into action! They didn't argue, they didn't justify, they didn't blame anyone. They simply took time to understand what i needed and got their butts into gear . I wish I would have remembered names, but the man there at 6pm on Jan. 7th needs some recognition . And the Women who decorated up that plain cake did such a great job! They are so kind and so appreciated and only cared about me leaving happy! It's a little rare to have such a great customer service moment in a walmart. The bakery team last night deserves a thank you from their manager . They did EXACTLY what I would hope my staff would do! The cake was great and our family loved it, thanks to them .
They made my daughter's first birthday cake. No mistakes, the cake was ready the day of, and was very well made. The bakery associate who took the order was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of her way to make my daughter's first birthday the best it could be.
