Walmart Pharmacy

Always had great experience until today. Went to pick up medication today and asked if the insurance applied to the medication cause it was higher than last time. I was told that the insurance didn't apply because they dont cover 90 day supply. (I had to sit there and process what I just hear for a minute.) Why would I NOT use insurance to cover some of my medications?! What sense does that make? I was informed that they can redo it for 30 days so insurance can cover but it will be a while before they can get it ready, as if it is my fault to make them do extra work. I'm sitting in the drive through with a person behind me and I can see that there are two other waiting in the store. To keep from being the hold up, I told them to forget splitting it. I shouldn't have to have this conversation in the first place. Who wouldn't use their insurance to cover medication?! It is part of the reason we pay for the insurance! Am I missing something here?! Very disappointed in how they handle the entire situation.

I’ve been using this pharmacy for years. Tgg HT year are fantastic. Pharmacist is very personable and feels like a friend. Great place.

The pharmacy tech and the pharmacist are so great! They take their time explaining new medications. I speak to the pharmacist every time I pick up my prescriptions, as that seems to be their policy. I will continue to use Walmart Pharmacy.

My wife took in a prescription last week that she was supposed to pick up on Monday.nWhen we phoned Walmart at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, they told us that the prescription did not come in. We had to call them; they didn't bother to call us.nThey said they would phone around to try to find another pharmacy that had the medicine.nI called back to see how this was going; I was put on hold for nearly nine minutes, then disconnected. Walmart said they could find no pharmacy that had the prescription. They suggested that my wife phone her doctor to ask for a prescription for another medicine!nWe picked the prescription form up from Walmart at 1:25 p.m., drove to another pharmacy nearby, and were able to get the prescription filled there.nThe behavior of this Walmart pharmacy was unacceptable. Again, they should have phoned to tell us when the prescription order did not come in. They should have kept us informed on how their efforts to find another pharmacy that carried the medicine were going. They should not have put us on hold then disconnected us.nWe will never use this pharmacy again. Shame on them!

I have moved around a few times and have had to change Walmart pharmacy's many times. This is by far the best one I've come across! Very quick, personable, and helpful. Shout out to Rachel and Shea for being so wonderful.
