My boat took on water earlier in the year. The engine had to be replaced. I hired Johnny to put on a new long block. We agreed on the price and I sent him a deposit. He had the boat on 05/28. He sent me an invoice which is attached. He was to put in a new long block, new manifold, riser, starter, sending units and water pump. He finished the boat on 08/20. The first time I took the boat out, I ran it for about 30 minutes and it started to overheat. I took it back to the marina and had the repair man at the marina look at it. He inspected it and said that the there is an oil leak inside the engine. After further inspection he found that the long block was never changed. The manifold was also rusty. I took pictures of it all. I will have to purchase a new long block. Johnny charged me for a new long block and did not do it, he stole my money. He said he will tow the boat back and fix it. I trusted him with my boat and money. He lied and cheated me. I do not trust him.

I live in Summerville and couldn’t find anyone to work on my boat. A mobile “boat mechanic was supposed to come to my house and was a no-show. Then I called Johnny. He knew exactly what was going on with my boat over the phone and although he was very busy he was able to get my boat in immediately and get it running 100%. He called me with updates and recommendations. Johnny didn’t take short cuts and did it right. And the fair price was extremely relieving. Just talking to the guy made me feel comfortable having him work on my boat. Polite, honest, and professional. He knows his stuff and I recommend him highly!

Contract signed to repower my Crownline 3/8/19. Paid 75% by 4/1/19. Told I would get the boat back within 3 weeks, but gave him 90 days in writing. 5/3/19, advised the engine was out and the new engine in the shop to be installed. 6/1/19 visited, boat had not moved, the old motor still in it. over 100 calls, 70 text messages, 30 visits, nothing, nada, boat will have been at his shop for over 700 days. I should have acted sooner, but COVID and work just allowed him to take advantage. STAY AWAY.

I used Johnny’s for a boat move, everything went smooth . Amazing to watch someone who really knows what they are doing . Highly Recommend . Will use again definitely.
