Hampton Inn St. Louis-Downtown (At the Gateway Arch)

Central to everything. Walking distance to downtown sites, including baseball stadium, shopping and the Arch. Hotel older and rustic appeal. Indoor Swimming pool, grab and go breakfast, nothing hot except for toaster for bagels and coffee. No hot eggs, bacon and those types of breakfast items. Charged for parking $20 -25. Covered parking available for average size vehicles, taller vehicles have to park outside. Nice stay. Caring staff.

Our room was clean and nice! We asked to be on the tallest floor so the kids could enjoy the view. Wish granted!! We requested the Arch view, but didn’t get due to the rooms already being gone, but the view of the casino was pretty and so was the river. A lot of cool stuff to watch! The pool visits were limited due to the hours (5pm-9pm) and to swim it was by appointment only. We were given an hour to swim. The pool was heavily chlorinated and most of our party had burning noses upon entry into the hallway leading to the pool area and it was worse once we went into the pool. The game room was pretty fun for our older kids. The breakfast consisted of: coffee, milk, cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit and no hot foods. This hotel is in downtown, but it borders the interstate. At night, we all woke multiple times due to traffic noise and such. So that is the only real deal killer for us. We probably will choose another place for that reason next time.

So far so good. We arrived this afternoon and our room was available even though they were completely booked the night before. We have a room with a view of the arch and it is amazing. The employees at the front desk were wonderful and pleasant. We needed help to get to the river boat for a tour and the gentleman at the desk grabbed a map and helped us out.

Brianna at the front desk was wonderful. Place was spotless! Good grab and go breakfast. We had a GREAT view of the Arch from our room and the park to visit was close by. Must pay $20 to park ud83dude14 but the garage was attached to the hotel. Fine hotel at a reasonable price.

My friends and I went down to see a Cardinals game and picked this hotel because it is in a great location close to the stadium and the rooms looked genuinely nicenUnfortunately, I had ants in my room. They were crawling up and around the nightstand next to the bed.nnWhen I called down to the front desk I was told that the hotel was fully booked and there were no other available rooms to be moved to. The front desk asked if I wanted to cancel my room and try my luck elsewhere, but since there was a game it was unlikely anything I could find would be reasonably priced. So I told the front desk I guess I'll keep my room and got promptly hung up on.
