I honestly did not want to write a bad review, but my experience called for me to speak out. I was referred to Soo Soo Tasty from a friend who is also a FOODIE like myself. I set up a tasting consultation to see if I wanted Sophia (the owner) to do my baby shower cake, and here is how it all went.nnThe consultation was pretty straight forward. Sophia gave my mother and I three samples to try and we settled on the buttercream with chocolate icing. It was a pretty nice set up the way she did the consultation and we she even gave us treats to take home. The invoice for the cake was sent and I paid shortly after.nnThe day of the shower 9/12/15 I went to pick up the cake and noticed immediately that the cake had several differences that weren’t on the picture. Grant it, the cake was still beautiful, but the colors were off and there were some details on the cake that were not right. Still, the cake was beautiful and it would have been too late to try to make changes especially since fondant was used on my cake.nSo, on to the shower. The shower was winding down and it was time to cut the cake. Everyone thought the cake was beautiful, but then my mom started cutting into the cake. It crumbled like a an old dry cake. You can imagine the horror on my face. I was praying to GOD that the crumble didn’t mean the cake was going to be dry as well. Unfortunately, that was the case. I took one bite and I was MORTIFIED and embarrassed. I saw the faces on my guests faces and that made it even worse. As a baker myself, I would have NEVER served that cake. It was like crumbly biscuits. Or how a cake tastes after it has set up for days and days. It seriously needed more eggs, butter, apple sauce, etc. Something to make it moist. The only thing that was good was the icing. That is it.nI had over 35 people at my shower and not ONE person took a piece home. So, I have a huge cake left over with nothing to do with it. I felt so bad and I almost cried.nnAfter the shower I contacted Sophia via email and let her know my concerns and asked her what did she think went wrong and she basically told me that “The only factor I can find is that yours was refrigerated unlike theirs with the exception of two fruit infused cake orders. We test each batch after baking to insure the quality is up to part. With the warm conditions we refrigerate all fruit infused or Fondant covered cakes. Fondant does not work well in warm conditions. I sincerely apologize and would love to offer a 50% credit on another in the near future.”nnI was not willing to pay any more money towards another cake. Why should I have to pay half only to possibly receive another dry cake? I felt like she could have either given me a cake for free, a small one would have been fine, or some of my money back. I basically paid $145.00 for a dry cake. I asked Sophia for a percentage back, not all, and she never responded. Not even to say she would not be able to give me a partial refund. I guess that is how she does business and it’s unfortunate because I really wanted to support her. I would not suggest her for a cake or anything else.

Recently had tasted a cake from this business at a friends baby shower. The cake looked so beautiful and well put together but when it was time to taste the cake it was one of the driest cakes I have ever had. It was unfortunate bc I was looking forward to it from just the looks of it. I also found out that the business owner wasnt even willing to give even a slight refund. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
