Found out in the evening that I needed to get a cake for someone’s birthday the next day, and I wanted to do better than a grocery store cake. My usual go-tos were closed by then, but I recalled this Korean bakery at the entrance of Don Quijote stayed open quite late.nnThere were quite a few to choose from, ranging from what looked to be a decadent chocolate cake that could serve 4-6 people, to smaller ones in vanilla and chocolate with colorful fresh fruit garnishing the top.nnThe gentleman who served me was quite friendly and happy to explain the cake and mousse flavors in each - finally settled on this super cute piggy cake primarily for the flavors: red velvet with a strawberry mousse filling and dusted with coconut. He noted that these cakes are not too sweet, per traditional Asian baking styles.nnAfter boxing the cake, he also added candles and a plastic cake knife - a really nice touch. I’ll be coming back for future cake needs!
Server was uninterested in serving, even though I was wearing a mask and distancing.nChocolate croissant was soggy, not crispy. Filling was tasty but oh so stingy.nWill not return.
