I tried out some new bows recently, and although I didn't end up buying one, Allie was super helpful and Joy actually spent some time helping me with some bowing tips. When she played my violin with my current bow, it sounded so beautiful that I decided to keep trying to conquer my issues with the bow I have. I bought a Frank Daniels 5 string fiddle several years ago. Nice fiddle with great tone, but never played like my other fiddles (Silakowski’s and Coopers). Had my local luthier examine and determine that the neck angle was improper and should be reset. David Frederick was referred to me by my good friend Adam French. Shipped my fiddle to David at The Violin Shop. David could not reset the original neck because it was improperly carved in the first place. So he carved an entirely new neck, peg box...the works. Set the new neck, new fingerboard, whole new setup. I just got the fiddle back from David’s shop, and I’m blown away! This fiddle plays itself now! Still has the same beautiful tone that Frank Daniels is known for, but now plays like a dream! Amazing! And David could not be more professional in his customer service. Very Happy with The Violin Shop in Lincoln!
