Their staff has always been friendly, helpful, and greets you with human dignity that is simple, but should just be expected at any retail center. I have been shopping at this particular Home Depot for nearly 15 years. I have to say they do a nice job at keeping prices competitive. The only thing I have to complain about, their wood. Some times their wood is a little on the flaccid side. Like, when I hold wood I expect there to be a nice firm feel that demonstrates what I would expect; robust elongation that can be matched bar none. I have held lots of wood in my life and Home Depot's wood falls short. I ordered lots of 2x4s and only a handful of them were straight. That being said, I would recommend spending some time sifting through all the wood they have to really find that nice straight, firm, hard wood you like. Keep up the great work Shakopee Home Depot.
I went in to buy a lawn mower and have it delivered. Nobody came to help me. I went to the front desk they said they would call someone. The person came and was more interested in hanging out with his friends than helping. He told me to go to the pro shop. I stood there and nobody came. I asked a cashier and they said he went home for the day and I needed to go to the front desk. The front desk first said they would call someone to help me. Frustrated I said no. So she spent a half hour clicking the same screens over and over. She clearly had no idea. Frustrated I left. Having worked retail I try to be understanding but this was beyond unbelievable.
Had everything I needed and was easy to find it. Don't really like having to check myself out or the cheap small bags. The bag should be heavy duty first store that sells heavy stuff.
When here to buy some stuff to help fix up my place. Nicole H. was extremely helpful and made my experience amazing. Highly recommended!
BUY LOCAL - complete joke of an ordering process for carpet. The lady we inquired with was great, the measure guy was good, the lady who split out the quotes for me was really awesome too..nnThe purchasing process was a joke. Employees who followed up on the quote were not helpful at all. I’ve never experienced such difficulty trying to pay someone $4,000.... I should have just bought it from the local flooring store. I know better...
