I really can't give it 1 star. We had a complete renovation of our bathroom. New tile throughout. The tile job was so bad it all had to be torn out and redone. This had to be the 1st time the men who did the tile have ever done any tile job. We tore the whole thing out and had Johnsons Carpet and Tile do it all over. What a difference. Never again would I trust Surface By Design to do anything. There was no compensation for the horrible job they did because we couldn't trust them to try again. Johnson' s Carpet and Tile did a wonderful job for us.

Surfaces by Design offers many different flooring options, granite and quartz countertops, and even wall tile and mosaics! They will even install the product you buy if needed. The sales staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend going here for your next project!

I do NOT recommend this company at all. They are scam artists. We had them come out and measure for carpet last year, the guy happened to be the owner who came out. He told us they had a military discount that’s one of the reasons we went with them. When we went to pay, they said they gave us such a good price on the carpet they weren’t going to give us the military discount.... that was the first strike. Next we brought 2 samples of carpet home, same color just different thickness. We chose the cheaper one, but when we went to pay the price tags were switched....strike 2. Next we needed our carpet installed before we moved into our house, they promised it would not be a problem and we scheduled it well in advance. We had the carpet scheduled to be installed a week before we moved in. We had people helping us move in our new home because my husband is a disabled combat vet and we couldn’t do it ourselves. They ended up canceling on us last minute and couldn’t fit us in until I threw a fit and they made time a week later so we had to hold off the move and we did not have help because of them. They didn’t understand why we couldn’t move in still and just leave everything in the dining room until they could install the carpet. They were so rude and only gave us $100 off.... strike 3. About two months after the carpet was installed we noticed the carpet was shedding, I called them and they said it was normal for carpet to shed the first year. Well October was a year and the carpet is still shedding, a lot. We are picking up carpet everyday. In August my dog peed in the entrance to our guest room right on the seam and the carpet completely came up after I cleaned it with an ammonia/ water mixture like it says to on the Mohawk website. I contacted surfaces again and they filed a claim with the manufacturer Mohawk. Mohawk had 3rd party inspector come out to look at the carpet and the inspector said the carpet shouldn’t be shedding that bad, he said if the carpet was being pulled up by something there would be the carpet backing attached to the pieces but there is not, it comes out with ease. He took pictures and said that the carpet is obviously defective and he didn’t even think it was real Mohawk carpet, yet in the report he filed he was completely two faced and said the shedding was due to our elliptical in the living room, even though it hasn’t been used since we got the carpet or moved.... how does that explain the shedding everywhere? They also said I chemically burned the carpet upstairs which is such a lie. So Mohawk said this was not covered. Surfaces by design had the installer come out to fix some areas which they did and the installer agreed 100% with us that the carpet is defective and our carpet should not look like this after 1 year, but he said because we have two dogs we are never going to be able to fight. My dogs are very well behaved, it’s not like they are tearing up the carpet. We chose the carpet we did because it was “Pet friendly” and had a warranty on it. But I guess it’s not water friendly..... There is only 1 person at Surfaces by Design who has been nice and that is Kelle. Adam the installer is great, he is independent and the only installer they use, he is super nice and you know he is telling you the truth.The quality of this carpet is terrible for the thousands of dollars we spent on it. We splurged on carpet and I wish we could go back and not go to surfaces. My parents have the same type of Mohawk carpet they got from a different retailer and they have never had an issue. I wish I would of read the reviews before I bought carpet from them.

Surfaces by Design just completed installation of our granite counter tops and backsplash. They were outstanding to work with, we love the completed project. Jennifer was delightful to work with helping us through the multiple phases of the project. The granite installation crew of John & Josh are very professional and courteous. Blaine installed the backsplash bring our project to completion. We would welcome back John, Josh & Blaine anytime to our home treating our project as if it was their own. Surfaces by Design was very price competitive with others in the area. Their customer service from beginning to completion was very good. We would not hesitate to utilize them on any future projects.
