Rent-A-Center

I would never come back again for business. My dad brought a deep freezer. Thought it was real life to give them a $100 a week, on a $17 a week deep freezer. they took over 4 payments of that $100. Went to pay it off , they said he owed 90% on same as cash. So they basically was took the remaining from the $100. Still gave him weekly late fees. Don't Go There. THIS A SCAM!!!!!

WOULDN'T RECOMMEND They’re very picky with who they let rent.. i was told they don’t run your credit. I’ve been looking for a Mac Book Pro since my back light went out on my Mac Book air so i haven’t been able to work or do any school work. I reached out to this specific location they told me they were gonna reach out to other locations to see if they have it in stock and call me back. I eventually called back because they didn’t hit me back yet.. a guy tells me i can’t rent from them because they’re not in my living range (understandable) . A woman from the same location calls me back 15 minutes later and told me they can put in a special order for me to get the Mac Book, I went in store filled out the paperwork. I live with someone who owns a home so I don’t pay any rent and neither do they.. they proceeds to tell me that person has to co-sign for me so he does, after he co-signs for me they try to tell me well I can’t rent it because I have to be on his lease..although he owns it. So i was told to call the next day and speak with the manager (the woman who called about the special order) , she basically tells me I have to be on his lease or he has to co-sign for me ( he did ) and says “well...is he okay with co-signing for you because he’s just as responsible as you” ( okay obviously we know that , but why is that mentioned like I’m not gonna pay the fees or just steal it ..smh) so she says she’s gonna call me back after looking at the papers .. I call back after not getting a call and she tells me she gave it to her manager to look at and he says I have to be on the lease. although I told them all that he owns the home im living in. So they were basically making up excuses. Oh forgot to mention how you actually don’t have to be on anyone’s lease to rent from rent a center (I was told by multiple location employees and customers) .. and my friend came into the same location , with no income so her boyfriend co-signed for her they paid and got their merchandise the next week. Neither her or her boyfriend is on the lease of the address they gave them nor were they asked questions about it. So I don’t know why they gave me such a hard time , wasted my time trying to deal with them and I could’ve went to a different location and the computer couldve been ordered.nnUPDATE: went to another rent a center in the area , filled out the application and got my laptop within 15 minutes .. thanks for wasting my time!

Have asked multiple times over a few months to replace the brand new computer that they gave me used, no box and hasn't worked right since day 1. Go anywhere else, rent a center is pathedic, don't report to credit like others. Purely cheap and lazy.

Great location I drive like 20-25 minutes just to go to this location they really take care of the customers

Excellent staff, courteous service, and super deals
