Stopped to pick up special order and extra special Saturday pastry delight, petit gateau. So rich and delicious. Each week A La Folie has a new pastry to try if you order ahead before Saturday. Will send macaron select box to my grand daughter for her 10th birthday this next week. French world-famous pastry chef creations right in our own area. Check them out online.

Chef Jérôme is an exceptionally talented pastry chef and chocolatier, and I couldn't believe it when I saw that he had opened a business in Naperville. After several orders I can happily say that they make the best macarons in the area by a wide margin. If you aren't sure where to start, try any of the fruit fillings - they're all bursting with bright flavor. Their special Saturday pastry that changes each week has really wowed us both times we've managed to try them so far. Always with a complex, layered flavor profile, frequently highlighting fruit from local farms, and perfectly executed.nnHaving to pivot from wholesale business to retail in the midst of everything lately cannot be easy, but Alexis and Jérôme have been doing an impressive job so far and Naperville is very lucky to have them.
