The Belted Goat

They have moved right across the street (still in the central part of the village, next to McIntyre's Books) and serve limited breakfast, full brunch, lunch and dinner (check site or call). Their small plates are delicious. Breakfast consists of a selection of pastries and breads, made by the the Fearrington House's pastry chef. Perfect before a walk around the neighborhood. A new favorite spot.

I liked the general vibe of the restaurant, but sad to see that dine in option is not available yet. Ordered the pork cubano sandwich with a side of mixed greens. Everything was cooked fresh but the balance between the meat and the veggies was a miss - there were too few veggies to complement the salty meat part (pulled pork & ham) of the sandwich.

Great food! Customer service could use improving. We visited with my grandmother a few months ago who has trouble standing and walking, and can’t hear. We were never greeted by any employee upon arrival, and when we asked where the restroom was, they directed us to the stairs with my grandmother latched on our arms. We could’ve been more specific I suppose that she couldn’t use stairs. It just would’ve been nice if they took the time to notice and accommodate their guests accordingly.

Excellent food, high quality ingredients, well prepared. Seating outside is really nice and the surroundings add much to the experience.

Food is really good - just wish they had a few more plant-based options. Most things are pretty meat-forward, with a few exceptions, and many of those have lots of dairy.
