I go to Paul Mitchell about four times a year, and I absolutely love it. Every stylist is different, and even if you go back for the same hairstyle, each time the technique used is different, too. It really is a great experience with everybody having their own style. Some days I've received poor haircuts/dye and some days I've never been happier with it. It all comes with the territory of it being a school. If you want to play it safe, ask for an Honors student. I will say that a haircut for men can take up to 2 hours depending on the stylist's experience, but it is really cheap and a great way to assist the students in their education! Definitely give it a go!
I've been a loyal customer for years and had several students as my stylists. All were enthusiastic, paid attention to detail, and made sure I left there a happy customer. The students can answer any questions about the products used or recommend products. Also, the prices are great bargains for the services and experience provided. Just be sure you take extra time out of your day when you schedule your appointment as the services are understandably slower as the students are still learning.

I usually go to my regular salon but a cousin told me about the school. I figured why not, since it's a school it'll be way cheaper then my salon. They don't tell you your stylist is only allowed 2hrs to you. I wanted my hair more lighter and it just wasn't it's cute but not what I wanted. I was quoted from 40-90. My total was $118!! I tipped her $15 and for $15 more I could of went to my own salon!! The teachers are hard to find I heard the students say that and I seen it. She looked at my hair and should of known what to do. I was in the chair from 930am until 230pm!! And still didn't get my color. I won't be back and really don't recommend for coloring....
