Tranquille Hair and Body

I have always loved this place! Unfortunately who ever was washing my hair got water on me and there was bleach from my highlights all over my shirt. The owner was so kind and refunded me to over the cost of my shirt. I really appreciate the care they have for their customers and will be back. Mistakes happen and i appreciate how they handled it!

Raphael made excellent recommendations for adding highlights to my hair to lighten a too dark coloring at a different salon. He was kind, polite, and extremely professional in working with me. I I will be looking forward to my next visit to Tranquille.

I’m from Baltimore (Towson area) but haven’t lived in Baltimore for the last three years because I moved to DC for law school. I moved back to Towson for my new job/first job out of law school, and although I’m familiar with the Towson area, I was still very much attached to my hair place in DC that I’ve gone to for three years.nnI was in dire need of a haircut and couldn’t make time to go to DC, so I did my research for Towson salons. I stumbled upon Tranquille Hair and Body through a Google and Instagram search, and I am so happy I tried something new. Raphael washed (and massaged my scalp), styled, and blow-dried my hair. Within 45 minutes, I was a new person and I love my new hair. To precisely summarize what I loved about Tranquille: (1) COVID precautions made me feel comfortable, (2) client consultation was focused on my hair needs, and (3) vibe check was on point.nn(1) COVID Precautions:nTranquille Hair and Body is a spacious stand-alone structure, so there was abundant space for social distancing. From the outset of entering into the salon, sitting in the waiting area, getting my hair washed, and sitting in the salon chair, there was always 6-10 feet between me and another salon patron or stylist.nnThere was also plenty of hand sanitizer that was skin-sensitive friendly as well as soap. The salon associates promptly invited me to sanitize or wash my hands before sitting in the waiting area. It made me feel safe that the salon associates were so active in maintaining social distancing between everyone. The salon also thoughtfully marked points of entry into the salon to measure at least 6 feet. In other words, I felt like the salon choreographed where its associates would stand to ensure salon patrons could maintain the CDC recommended distance.nnAlso, I saw Raphael sanitize his station before our client consultation. The salon is meticulous in sanitizing each area, so it was constantly clean.nn(2) Client Consultation:nRaphael thoughtfully asked me how I wanted my hairstyle and was meticulous in understanding each detail before getting started. Raphael was also able to work with my hair despite its texture. I have painfully natural straight that is stubborn and is hard to add body to; however, Raphael made it happen. From start to finish, Raphael was all about the details. My hair shaped my face and made it look smaller, which is also a plus. Raphael styled my hair with beautiful long textured layers, and a face-shaping frame.nn(3) Vibe Check:nThe salon associates were kind and welcoming when I arrived. I initially had my appointment scheduled for 3 pm, but Tranquille allowed me to come in at 2 pm at my request. The salon was thoughtful with everything in light of COVID too. To minimize contact, the salon made sure to have all the associates’ QR codes ready for Venmo. Aside from the friendly, clean, and spacious atmosphere, I couldn’t believe the amount I paid for my hairstyle (it was a 1/3 of what I paid in DC). As I’m flipping my styled hair, I’m still shocked by how practical the price was.nnOverall, I can’t wait to go back to Tranquille Hair and Body, and highly recommend those attached to their current salon to give this place a try.

Was so happy to be able to get my haircut with my favorite hairdresser, Kathryn. I felt safe going there with social distancing and hand sanitizing. So glad to have this important service that .makes me feel good and of course promoting their business and interacting with people in a safe way.
