This is one of the better Uhaul locations, mostly because the manager is pretty decent guy who's gone out of his way to help us out in the past. Can't give it 5 stars though because a month ago when I went there they were unable to honor my reservation. We had to cancel the job.
Reserved 6 furniture pads. When I went to pick up the van they said the system showed 96 furniture pads in stock but they had none. Then they tried to sell me new furniture pads. Unhappy.nnUpdate on 11/21/2020:nNeeded to go there again last week but checked with them a day earlier regarding pads. They said they had plenty in stock. They were right. When I went in they had what I had reserved. Good change at U-Haul.
My vehicle was the oldest in their “fleet.” It had been ridden hard. I drove the vehicle a total of 20 miles . Charged my card an additional $86 for gas. Attempted to discuss this with them the next day. I was told the manager would call me that afternoon. Nothing, no call. Beware of deceptive business practices and aged equipment.
Since, I already have an online account that made it easier to get in and out and for anyone planning on using U-Haul in the future set up an account right before you rent your vehicle.
I needed to rent a van for a day and decided to go to U-Haul on Quincy Ave in Quincy, Ma. The staff was helpful and accommodating in selecting the ideal vehicle. I overall service was quick and drop off was easy. Thank you U-Haul.
