Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken

Saw that this location had opened last week (they apparently have several others, but I haven’t been), and I was in the mood for both fried chicken and donuts, so I stopped by.nnKnow before you go that this is a shared kitchen between Prescription Chicken, Saya Salteña, and now Astro Donuts. If you’re picking up donuts, stand to the left, as the right is Saya Salteña!nnGot a fried chicken sandwich on a cheddar biscuit with tater tots and a half dozen donuts (for two!). All were delicious! Flaky biscuits, juicy chicken, and uniquely-flavored sweet donuts for dessert.nnI’ve lived in North Carolina where fried chicken and biscuits is a common breakfast, and I’ve had my fair share. I have to say Astro would fit right in among southern biscuit diehards.nnI’ll be back! Welcome to the neighborhood.
