Beware of the mosquitoes! Beautiful cemetery. I spotted it from the road on the way to the Waipio Valley and stopped on the way back. Photos can't capture the sense of reverence and care in this place. I wish I'd had longer to sit and observe (without the mosquitoes especially). The hillside is terraced and the cemetery continues up the hill. It's also protected by a large tree so it stays in the shade.
Amazing little cemetery tucked off the side of the road. So worth stopping and visiting. Really peaceful place with beautiful stones and carvings and landscaping.
