Two Ladies Kitchen

LOVE this mochi, the best I’ve ever had. Soft and great texture, plus there’s so many flavors. I bought half the flavors one day and had to come back the next day to try the other half! The strawberry one is of course a classic. Also really liked the butterfly and shortcake one. I wish they had a location in California! It would be an instant hit.

Echoing the words of many others - Two Ladies' mochi is something special. It is ethereally soft and delectably textured, and has perfectly balanced sweetness. My favorites were the traditional red bean varietals, the brownie (filled with intense brownie batter), and the Okinawan sweet potato. While I haven't yet been to Japan, the mochi here is leagues ahead of any other mochi I've had in the U.S.

This is the prettiest and yummiest mochi I’ve had! I love the different colors they use, not to mention the variety of flavors they have. The owners are sisters who are friendly and efficient, and their staff are the same (I think some of them are family members of the owners.). Another thing I love is that they have gluten-free mochi options, unlike in many of the grocery or convenient stores; I am gluten intolerant and get the daifuku, and have never had a problem. However, I recommend calling and ordering ahead of time, because even during the week, the shop can get very packed; once, I had to wait almost 30 minutes just to order, and around another 30 minutes to get my mochi! I can see why, though; it’s worth it! Two big thumbs up!
