Great bakery - our favorite stop on the way to the volcanic national park. Offers tasty sweets and good coffee - hot or cold. Fairly large parking lot - easy to park. Friendly staff - will help you pick what you want - especially if you are not sure or never been there before. You can eat on site - outdoors. There are a few things to see around the shop - decently maintained garden offers some interesting /cool plants to view. Small pond - you can see some fish.

Pastries were good but not friendly employees. We were rudely yelled at over the speaker to stay 6 ft away and were told to step out to wait. Then when we finally got to the counter the gentleman behind the counter skipped us and started helping the people behind us, he said those customers were in front of him which is why he helped them but when we were in front of him he didn't try to help us. We stated that we were there first and had not been help but he refused saying someone else will take care of us shortly then continued helping the customers behind us in line. Food was fine but employees there ruined the overall experience.

We ordered pastries and ice cream. Both were amazing. They sell nice jellies, local sweets and gifts. The line was long. They have two registers, but they keep closing one. It quickly became confusing where to order. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Great selection of fresh donuts and pastries. They also had good coffee along with loves of their sweetbread. Such a good stop for those heading towards south point.

The only place to eat between South point and Black Sand Beach, the Punalu'u Bake shop was a welcome sight. Clean, bright and inviting we were happy to stop. The shop was quite crowded (a sign things are returning to normal after a year of Covid restrictions). The food was adequate. The geckos were just a bonus.
