Waited Wayyyyyy to long in check out line

I did my shopping late in the afternoon and the parking lot was very full. There were plenty of supplies on hand including cleaning products, paper products, dairy, fresh vegetables, fruits and meats.nThere did not appear to be anyone checking for masks. However there were signs posted. The store was clean and there were stickers on the floor trying to direct traffic through the aisles, but most people did not pay attention. I don't consider this the store's fault, as they would have to employ many extra people to police traffic in the store. However, it did not give me a lot of confidence in social distancing being practiced. All store personnel was masked. There were plenty of checkstands open.

I shop Hood River Safeway most of the time. They are always friendly and helpful. They are clean throughout the store, including restrooms. Their shelves are always well stocked with items. My one complaint is the can and bottle return. I stood in line for an hour and half while one person counted returns. Other than this I would recommend this Safeway to anyone.

Clean store. Good customer service. A bit pricey.

Chinese food there was yummy. They have some good choices throughout the entire store. Lines are abit too long for my liking.
